‘ello! I’m a senior full-stack developer working at Udacity and specializing in JavaScript. When I’m not coding, I’m either composing sample-based electronic music, lifting weights or buying more Sriracha.

I knew software engineering was for me when I understood that you have to be a life-long learner in order to truly excel. You can’t out-evolve the industry – it moves too fast. I love being at the cutting edge of technology. Nothing beats learning about the latest and greatest tools that build the apps that shape our lives.

I am a big fan of pair programming and mentorship. I learn from other developers of all skill levels. Before I was a web developer, I was a Physics and Math tutor. I love to express complex subjects eloquently as I highly appreciate tutorials that do the same. When the fog clears, the flip is switched, and a convoluted idea suddenly makes sense, it is a beautiful thing.

As Douglas Crockford put it, “JavaScript is the only language people feel like they don’t need to learn to use.” I know that many fellow front-enders would agree and I’m hoping that if you stumble upon my posts, you’ll have no choice but to leave a little more knowledgeable about JS.
